Great site, guys. I've visited it sporadically for some time.

    1. Did you ask permission to use Mr. Face?

    2. I always thought it went without saying that there would be a Mario game for the GameCube. It's odd, but I am more excited about the GCN Mario game than I have been about any game for many years... and there has been virtually no information released on the game (that I know of). And yet I know it exists; and the less they say about it, the more excited I get about it! Can you compile together all of the information that might be known about this game, just so I can be sure that i haven't missed anything?

    3. This is the most important question, you can throw away the other two so long as you answer this one. Any old-school Mario fan probably has the same memory I do of seeing: the Nintendo Cereal commercial. The Nintendo Cereal itself is something mentioned somewhere on your site, I know. I believe my mom once bought me a box of that stuff, and it was actually pretty good. But that's not the important part. The important part is the jingle they had for it. Everyone remembers it... "Nin-ten-do! It's for breakfast now! Nin-ten-do! It's a cereal, wow!"
As I said, everyone remembers it. Quite frankly, I believe it is the catchiest jingle that anyone in the world has ever composed. I have been unable to get it out of my head in more than a decade, and I swear that every time I see the word "Nintendo" I hear "Nin-ten-do!" in my head, to the tune of that jingle.
Clearly, I only have two options. The first is suicide. The second is that I find some copy of that song and capture it forever in my mp3 collection, and be able to satiate my addiction to that song whenever I want to.
Now for the $20,000 questions. Does your site have a copy of that jingle? If not, do you know of another classicgaming site, or any other site or source on the internet, that would have this song? And if still not, will you assist me in getting the word so that anyone who WOULD have access to this jingle could capture it in digital format forever? Your site would seem a likely place to begin spreading the word. This isn't the first time I've attempted to search for this file. The closest I've ever come is someone I ran into in the Nintendorks chatroom, Studio64. The guy's IRC handle was "Kris_Sama", and he said that he had gotten an old tape of some Super Mario Super Show episodes, and that on that tape the Nintendo Cereal commercial appeared. This guy completely disappeared not long thereafter, however, and my attempts to find him have failed. But it seems like old tapes of that show would be the most likely source of finding that jingle, so if all else fails, do you know of any place where I could get into tape-trading of that show?

Thanks in advance for your help, and thanks again for the awesome site.

    End transmission.

Deezer:
1. No.
2. Okay, here goes: "More info will be revealed at SpaceWorld 2001 in Japan."
3. I don't remember seeing a copy of it anywhere. Maybe someone will see this and send it in? If so, you'll be the first to know.

    Dear TMK,
Thanks to your Super Mario World help section, i have finally gotten to all 96 goals. I tried what you said about making sure you have found all the secret exits, and, I don't know which one it was, but it got me my last goal. I started with that game in '91, and thanks to you, I got it done, just today. But I have a question about this game: What is the difference between the original SMW and the Players' Choice Million Seller version? I have the original, and so do all my friends so I'd appreciate if you answered. See ya later.
    -Nikomario

Deezer: I haven't really verified this myself, but I'm 99% sure that there's nothing different except for the box art.

HELLO! SINCE NINTENDO PLANS TO MAKE A SUPER MARIO WORLD, SUPER MARIO BROTHERS 3, YOSHI'S STORY, AND MAYBE SUPER MARIO WORLD 2 YOSHI'S ISLAND FOR THE GAME BOY ADVANCED THEN DO YOU THINK THAT THEY WILL MAKE A SUPER MARIO RPG OR DONKEY KONG ( THE ORIGINAL ) GAME FOR THE GAME BOY ADVANCED? DO YOU THINK THAT NINTENDO WILL MAKE GAMES LIKE SUPER MARIO BROTHERS 3 BSX AND MARIO & WARIO FOR THE GBA? THANKS!
    -MCHAPMAN2000@HOMESTEAD.COM

Deezer: I THINK SUPER MARIO RPG OR DONKEY KONG HAS A BETTER CHANCE THAN SMB3BSX AND MARIO & WARIO.

Why can't the other systems and companies learn that NINTENDO is the best!!!!
Not only does it have great games but the best mascots like Mario,Link(Zelda),Kirby,Samus,Yoshi, and Donkey Kong. I bet the other companies just keep competing to TRY and end Nintendo. I thing thats how SEGA came out of the business over the years competing with Nintendo. You can say Nintendo Kicked Sega's @#$. Now Nintendo has to deal with other systems like Sony and Microsoft. But don't worry people, Nintendo will kick there @#$ to and be the top system like it always has been.

NINTENDO RULES!!!! AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deezer: Preach on, brother.

    Hi,

Am searching for the Super Mario 3 game set, complete with controls, console, and game; unopened preferred.

    Am hooked...help!

    Thank you,
    -Robbie

Deezer: Am sorry, can't help you there.

Yo guys, I was wondering, Will mario ever appear in Luigi's Mansion? Even Just once?
    -Krimpetman2001

Deezer: Some interview on some site that I read said that Mario will appear at the end of Luigi's Mansion when you save him.

What ever happened to TMK the next level?
    -Orobueno

Deezer: What's TMK the next level?

TMK:Better than a warm cricket pie?

hahaha! very funny slogan guys! Thats refering to Frogfucious from SMRPG right?
    -DragoonFenix15

Deezer: Exactamento.

I was just wondering if Peach would take more part in Super Smash Bros. (Super Smash Bros. Melee) this time. I mean, she's either getting kidnapped, or just has a lame part. This might not apply to you but I think Nintendo (If they didn't) should have given Mario a break and let the other characters have the spotlight for once. Whether it be the Princess, Luigi (Especially) or even some of the bad guys. Anyway, if you print my letter thanks for listening!
    -Andrew DeWitt

Deezer: Peach is going to be a controllable character! I hope she has a special B*tch-Slap move... that would be sweet.

Will or can you put up those WTMK Mario Radio Song's on your site? Please... Please and if not TELL ME WHY!!??
    -Starman Anthony

Deezer: We can probably put a few up for download without infringing any copyrights.

    Hey TMK Mailbag Guy,
I am writing in response to your answer of Wade Brandis' E-mail from the May 25 Mailbag. I love your site and don't want to sound confrontational, but the simple fact of the law is that you aren't allowed to play the "backups" of games since you aren't allowed to even make backup copies in the first place.
    -kecox47

Deezer: Or so Nintendo would have you believe...

    Hey TMK staff,

What happened to your affiliates section? When the format changed, it disappeared. Do you no longer have affiliates?
    -Toadmon

Deezer: The affiliates morphed into a separate Friends of TMK page to reduce the loading time on the front page.

Hello whoever is working the mailbag this week, where do you get good screenshots of Super Smash Brothers Melee? and Is there realy going to be a Mario 128? , my friend said that there wasn't.
    -adleones

Deezer: Here. And yes, but it's probably not going to be called "Mario 128."

Yeah, I just wanted to note a Mario reference I think you missed. In Mother 2 (The reference is missing from the american version of it, Earthbound) some of the default names you can select are Mario characters. Such as Mario for Ness, Peach for Paula, Luigi for Jeff, Kinopio for Poo, and Yoshi for your dog.
    -Bhlaab

Deezer: We didn't miss it! The Mother 2 info page explains all that, and more. And it's been up since October 9th, 1999, actually. :)

    Hey guys,
In the May 25th Bonus Mailbag, one if the emails was from Michael Potter about wanting to watch old Mario Cartoons. As (few/some) of you know, I have about 6 tapes full of SMB3, SMW, and SMBSS cartoons. There are 10 episodes on my site right now, it can be seen here -http://www.frazled.com/~danny/tv_show.htm
All the episodes are in ASF format, which can be played in Windows Media Player. If you not on a Windows-based computer, I've been told there is a Macintosh verison of it available at Microsoft.com . Hope you guys like the cartoons,
    -Danny

Deezer: If Mr. Potter had read the Feb. 2nd mailbag, he would've seen a link to that site there also.
