Characters from the Mario universe clash to claim bragging rights on the soccer field in this sequel to Super Mario Strikers. The competition is fierce, and the difficulty grows as players battle their way through the tournament ladders on their way to the Striker Cup. Along with the characters from Super Mario Strikers, Mario Strikers Charged welcomes eight new characters to the field of play, including four captains (Bowser and three secret captains) and four sidekicks (Dry Bones, Boo, Monty Mole and Shy Guy). To accommodate the growing cast, the game features nine new stadiums and updated versions of the stadiums from Super Mario Strikers. Players are no longer limited to just nearby competition either. Using their Mii profiles, gamers can track their progress on the ranking leader board and battle over Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection.
